target action trigger problems
Hello all. Noob question for the wise. I have 2 Target actions. Both right bolt, left port. One of each bolt face.
If I run the bolt briskly, the trigger falls upon bolt closure. If I go slow, it does not. Is this common? It does it on both of my actions.
Suggested fix?
Thanks in advance
Re: target action trigger problems
Yes it's common. Trigger set "too" lite. Been there, done that. Set the trigger pull a little on the heavier side.

Yup, Very common. Savage started putting a small rubber bugger (Like a dab of clear silicone.) under the bolt handle to correct this. I found getting a lighter bolt handle like a SSS is a big help.

So do you have any thought on how adding, or reducing the mass of the bolt handle affects to firing mechanism?
