Stevens 311 Finish - Touch-up Options?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone tried to touch-up the factory finish on a Stevens 311? I don't really want to use a stain just in case I decide to strip the wood completely in the future. Is my best bet to find some touchup paint at a hobby shop?

Thanks for any thoughts. Great forum for these older guns! :)

I have had good luck using TruOil finsh for minor touch up and cleaning old stocks. No problems if you decide to strip it later. Have used it on a lot of Stevens guns over the years as well as other manufacturers.
