Hello! Old fart in Central Ohio
My first gun was a Savage model 24. Loved that gun. Bought a Rossi youth model a few years back for pest control in the city with Aguila Super Colibri, still use it with a Tasco Red Dot sight for knocking starlings off the bird feeder (it was the closest thing I could find to the old model 24 and CHEAP) new Model 42 looks like overpriced junk to me. Have an old Winchester model 190 22 bought with paperboy money about 50 years ago. Have a Simmons Blazer 4X32 on it. Just bought a Savage 93R17 GV and a Nikon 3-9X40 to extend my eyes a little for rabbits, ground hogs, coy-dogs if they become a problem and 100 yd plinking and killing of pop bottles just like John Prine.
