Remove/Replace Swivel Stud, Mark II BV?

Is it possible to remove and replace the rear swivel stud in a Mark II BV? The one I have has been damaged. Options include new stock, or new swivel stud. I haven't put a lot of torque on it because it feels like it might be lock-tighted into the stock somehow.

Is the stock Synthetic or wood?
