The LSS has been $400 for several months. I only remember because I was pricing out chassis for Axises back when I thought they might bring out an HS3.
I ordered the LSS chasis in last August for a left hand Savage the cost was $400. I do not remember if there was a price discrepancy for left handed chassis vs right handed chassis.
You may have been looking at a blemished one in the clearance section?
