Hi all,
As the the title says just wondering if a 22-250 is a long or short action,
Also would a 22-250 axis stock fit a .223?
Thanks in advance

The 22-250 is a short action as is the .223 and yes the stocks interchange each other, even a Boyd's prairie hunter stock fits both axis calibers.
The 22-250 works fine on a long action as well but is considered a short action cartridge.
Short action for sure.
So are the axis long action only or do they come in a short action. I was looking at a 243 recently and it looked like a long action.
Axis are all a "Long Action" but special unto themselves so don't confuse them with the 110 series stuff.
What decides if an Axis is long or short is the bottom "metal" (plastic) that is installed in the stock. LA or SA magazine setup that is.
