OK...looking for a definative answer...Factory DBM vs CDI

I have heard that the Factory DBM inlet will take or is a copy of the CDI inlet...is that true? has anyone tried it? I dont have a Factory DBM to try it...I've seen this question pop up before but have never seen it adequately answered...
