Anybody out there hunt Elk in Colorado on the Eastern slope?

I am interested in hunting Elk in SE CO, maybe unit 85. I would appreciate any info on this area and suggestions as to where and when to hunt. Also, are over the counter cow tags available for this area? I know bull tags are, I'm just not sure about cow tags.
