I found a 300wsm today with action screw spacing is 4.27" and considered buying it for a .243 build.
1.) I also have a 111 action on hand and thought about switching the boltheads and moving this 300wsm barrel over to it for a shorty build on a long action.Will there be any issues with the change on boltheads?
2.) What issues or problems might I encounter with this project?
Look into the aftermarket stock options for the 4.27". I built a 308 on. 4.27" and found limited availability, at least for my cheap budget anyway.

If the 300WSM is a large shank....and it probably is....you will have to get a large shank .243 barrel to take it's place. If the 30-06 is a small shank....and it probably is....the large shank 300WSM will not fit.Quote:
