I mark II pillar bedded from factory? Is pillar beding and glass bedding worth it on a rimfire?
The mark II has pillars which are attached to the action.
I am not sure how much bedding would help, but it couldnt hurt. Guess it depends on what you are doing with it.
If you are going to try to compete, I guess so , along with a deresonator, better stock and trigger work but then again there are better rimfires for serious competition.
I have the normal mark II with the elcheapo plastic stock and it shoots 3/8" at 50 yards with subsonic wolf target ammo. That was good enough for me.
Thank you I appreciate the reply, have a chance to get a Mark II cheap was considering it to build a rimfire silhoutte gun.
I think it would be fine as is for sillhoutte.
I am switching over to a 17 hmr and selling mine, so if your deal does not work out let me know.
I have done pillar bedding to them, and they are not the easiest things to to. It is not a good first time bedding project. My advise is to use a lot of clay.
