What to add to Devcon to die it brown when bedding a wood stock?
Any experience on what to add to Devcon to die it brown when bedding a wood stock to make it match? I have a Sav. Am Classic nice dark walnut stock and want to bed it.

You could also use any of the woodworking dye powders sold on the wood working sites.
The question is how well any dye will work in Devcon as it is about 90% powdered metal. So it would seem that the predominant color is gray before you start trying to color it.

Accraglass dyes are for polyester, and I'm not sure if they are compatible with epoxy. Being that you are not going to see most of it, I would opt for black Marinetex.

They refer to acraglass as "epoxy" almost like a generic term, but is is not epoxy. It is in fact polyester. I didn't say it wouldn't work, but I would mix a test batch first.
