It seems like a lot of you switch barrels weekly. Do you need to remove the magazine box or do you just work around it? If it needs to be removed, how do you do it without crushing it.?

The magbox isnt in the way at all. Atleast I have never thought so.
I don't have a problem with mine either. It's no big trick to remove the magazine box though, I just use a large flat blade screw driver, the magazine box has tabs front & rear put the screw driver blade against the front or rear of the box and give a whack with the palm of my hand while prying down (away from the receiver) and it will usually pop right out. If you go from the rear it's better to remove the trigger first to get a better angle, also the rear of the box is a single thickness while the front is two layers with a tab spot welded on so it is easier to bend the box from the rear but harder to pop the front tab out of its recess.

Bob.....your linguistic abilities are quite adequate. I'll give it a try....and Pdog, it just might be if you were using an action vise instead of a barrel vise.
