340B sear spring orientation
Hi All,
My Dad willed me his Savage 340B in .22 Hornet. It belonged to my Mom's Dad before him. Anyways, it hadn't been cleaned in years so I removed the action and barrel from the stock. A quick rinse with Hoppe's was all it took. I have a question about the orientation of the sear spring. It's in place but doesn't seem to do anything. It's not tensioned in any way so before I take it apart to try and figure it out myself, I thought I would ask for some help here. I have several parts schematics but none are of any help. Can anyone tell me how it's supposed to be located in relation to the sear?
Thanks!
John
