Brownell sells kits that include the barrel, wrench, go and no go guages, and locktite.
I dont know anything about the kit other than what is on the website and I am not advocating the use of this kit or any of its parts.
You dont really want to use locktite on the barrel nut, that is if you want to get it off again.
LOL no locktite! you will learn they are tight enough with out it.
so all i need to do is chang the barrel thats it no bolt work ??? i made a wrench to remove the nut ,then just swap lug and screw it back on? does it need to be spaced from the bolt or any thing crazy?
Yep, rip off the old barrel, transfer the lug and nut then set the headpspace. Since the the 243 and 308 are the same cartridge other than the neck diameter all the other parts, the bolthead and magazine will work as-is.Quote:

I would say, anytime you take the barrel off you will need to headspace just to be safe.
