I bought a Savage 10 FCP in 223 from Cabela's
It came with a 4 round detachable box magazine ... any chance I can get a larger capacity magazine?
Can I change out the bottom metal to accept another higher capacity mag?

You could always graft a PMAG lower onto the existing magazine if you want a project. This is for an Axis, but should be generally the same. Holds 14 rounds...

It's more or less what I did, but just all metal and likely nicer....and $$$. But I think they work great.

AICS bottom metal from CDI or Accurate-Mag (make sure it's the correct bolt spacing. 4.2" or 4.4").
Then get a MDT 223 magazine.
Done !!
