Any Audio/Video Geeks here?

Curious if we have any members here who work in the broadcast industry and/or are experienced/knowledgeable in audio/video - specifically wireless audio as it pertains to DSLR video production. In my slow, tortuous-like crawl towards getting setup to do video how-to's and product reviews for the site I have found exactly what I need to do what I want to do, but the equipment is extremely pricey as it's professional grade and I'm hoping someone with first-hand knowledge and experience with like products can recommend some more cost effective alternatives.

The backbone of my video kit will be my Sony DSC-RX10 camera, and if price wasn't a limiting factor I'd set it up with the following...

Sony XLR-K1M Microphone Adapter Kit ($800)
Sony UWP-D16 Digital Wireless Lavalier/Plug-on Microphone System ($800)
Senal ENG-18RL Broadcast Omnidirectional Dynamic Microphone ($100)

Ideally I'd like to find suitable alternatives that put the total cost somewhere in the $400-600 range without giving up any versatility.
