I have a savage 110 action (savage 220 slug gun), a DNZ mount (aluminum), and a vortex diamondback hp scope.
DNZ recommended anywhere from 25-35 in/lbs for their rings but wot comment on the base screws.
Vortex said do not exceed 20 in/lbs for scope rings
So given all these variables, what should I torque rings to and what should I torque the base to?
Also, should I vibra-tite rings and base or just one or the other?

20-25 inch #s for bases is more than enough. Be sure to use some blue loc-tite (non-hardening type).
If the rings are true 25 inch #s isn't going to hurt the Vortex (and should be plenty to keep the scope where you put it).
Again.... use the blue loc-tite.
Any reason not use vibra-tite vc3 over blue loctite?
Nail polish works great as well.
