Hi everyone! I am getting my first bolt action rifle, a Hog Hunter .308. Already found a Savage American Classic woodstock with a DBM and SA size. Would the thicker Hog Hunter barrel fit the American Classic inlet?

Hi everyone! I am getting my first bolt action rifle, a Hog Hunter .308. Already found a Savage American Classic woodstock with a DBM and SA size. Would the thicker Hog Hunter barrel fit the American Classic inlet?
The Savage 14 AC stock will usuall accept up to a magnum contour barrel. If not, use a dowel rod or socket wrapped in sand paper to slowly open up the barrel channel until the barrel is free floated. Apply several coats of Tru-Oil Gunstock Finish to re-seal the wood and build up the finish to match.
