Who makes a good single feed sled for a 110 short action?
Found this but have not used.

They work perfect. About the only option other than making one yourself.
I have about 5 of them currently, using in various calibers with no issues.
I even have a couple I use with a repeater action in a stock inletted for a single shot(target action). All you have to do is round the sides off so it closely matches the round contour of the action and it fits just fine. I do mine with just a slightly loose fit when put in the stock, so I know it isnt causing any fitting issues between action and stock.
They will also work with a dbm stock. Simply Just install the follower and leave out the dbm mag. The stock/mag frame holds it in place, with just a slightly loose fit.
Thanks for the input on these. How do you place an order ? maybe Im overlooking on their website
Call them
Or put a want to buy ad here in our classifieds and maybe someone has a spare they’re not using
If you are wanting to order from SSS, just download/print the order form from their website, and mail it in with a check, they are a bit slow but you get it in a few weeks or less depending on if they have any in stock or wait for the next production run.
Thanks all.
I'll look for a used one or try to make my own.
Don't want to deal with SSS.
I made my own out of PVC pipe. I fitted it to the magazine on top of the follower. Spring pressure holds it in place. Easy and cheap.

They need to be fitted to the magazine, but it's something like this. Not high precision. LOL.
Pretty slick hombre:tea: Not a bad little DIY money saver.
Although… I’m still having trouble understanding why people can’t just set a round in by hand with the magazine in place?? I’ve done it half a KAJILLION times and never noticed a problem.
Nice ! I like it :thumb::thumb:
Some magazine followers lock the bolt back when the mag is empty.
What size PVC did you use?
Like others it depends on the magazine and the geometry to the barrel and the cartridge.
My 12 in .308 I could place a jacketed round on the follower and it would chamber. My .223 Axis would not feed this way. I had to put the rounds in the magazine or they would not feed. It was a real PITA when I had a cartridge that was too long for the magazine.
The 6mmBR will not feed if placed on the follower. It 'tips' over cause the round is nose heavy. Ironically, it will feed from a .308 magazine.
.308 with cast depends on the bullet. My favorite 210gn is long and has a flatter nose so it hangs up as well. From the magazine it does feed well. Heck, it even feeds fine in my Garand.
There’s no rifle I’ve ever fired, that I could not simply slip a single round into.
Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it never happens. :)
And, yes, I can single load just about anything. It sometimes isn't as simple as laying a cartridge on the top of the magazine and closing the bolt. Some guns require slipping the round into a magazine, like the Garand. 1911 pistols can be fed with a round placed directly in the chamber but it isn't good for the extractor.

They have a couple of different ones. If you're using AICS mags, they have and AICS sled available as well.
