I don't have this rifle or one with that cartridge, but that's a beauty !
Good luck with it ......
I got one in .223 and I haven't made a bad shot yet. Straight out of the box too!
Vortex Venom scope, magpul bipod.
100-400 yards, sub MOA every time!!!
My friend says it's too easy to shoot so well.
I am running a Axis II Precision for Long Range . Playing at 1000 matches tryin to get F class feet wet on a budget. 6.5 manbun cal. Jumping the H140 ELDM 20 thou. provided a SD of 6.5 at muzzle, 9.9 at target and .47" group at 100. The 500 yd ranges was a little wet this weekend for the jump seating test so it was to the shorter range. Lapua SRP case, 450 primer, fireforming. I cannot seem to figure out how to post a jpg image here
The only way I see to post a picture here is to up-load it to a picture hosting site like smugmug.com then link the picture using the "insert image" icon you can see when you start or reply to a thread. Just hit reply and you'll see the icons above the text box, the insert image icon is sixth from the right on the middle row. Hover the cursor over it and it'll say insert image.
https://imgbb.com/ is the hosting site I use. Download, click on the picture, copy & paste the “BBCode” link in your message to have picture show. No joining or email required. The alternative is to join the forum which enables picture download here.
It's been so dang hot that I haven't gotten out for a second round with the Axis. Central Texas is hot, but having day after day of 104-106 is not normal -- especially since it started in May!. On the other hand, I've ordered dies, powder, and bullets and cleaned the brass I have so I'm ready to work up some loads if I can find large rifle primers. I've managed to find small rifle and small and large pistol primers so things are looking up. The problem is, you are limited to ordering 2-3 of whatever they have in stock and between the shipping and hazmat costs, it's expensive. Those fees are pretty much the same whether you order 1 or 10 boxes or primers or pounds of powder so being limited drives up the cost.
I don't have a Precision, but I have two Axis', one in 6.5 CM and one in 30-06. They are both very accurate, as a matter of fact I need to get them both out and check zero as soon as it gets a bit cooler.
imgbb works well for me also.
It was nice not having to sign-up.
http://www.savageshooters.com/image/...BJRU5ErkJggg==Finding 20 thou jump w the 140ELDM to work but have not used this projectile to 1000 yet. Expect better results than the untested jump load and round I was using for next LR match
For the next level in accuracy you might also consider a good seating die. At longer ranges it makes a difference.
