Not a real pretty rifle, would have liked wood, stock, But the sharp shooter about 1 1/2 at 200 yards with 150 Winchester. I have some Fousion 180's but not tried it yet. But why??? just want to say Savage Is a good gun for the money

On that I think we all agree.
I started painting my plastic factory stocks with textured paint I get from Wal-Mart, and it's amazing what a difference a $5 can of paint can make to a rifle's appearance and handling. The factory stocks are too slick for my hands, especially when it's cold or I'm wearing gloves. That textured paint makes a world of difference.
Did you use rattle can paint?
i was thinking of having some fun with my stock, before I spring for a chassis.
I saw at our Walmart some cans of textured black with copper metallic, I bet that would look good.
