I need help, I can't get the new barrel screwed on enough to headspace. And the go gauge gets stuck in the barrel. the barrel will screew on but not far enough for the no go gauge to stop the bolt. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure the threads in the action/barrel/nut aren't gunked up? Axises are notorious for having a lot of gunk and shot peen pellets in the threads. When I tear them down, I blow the threads out REALLY well with as many shots of Brake Cleaner as it takes, and usually a plastic or brass bristle brush too.
And if the gauge is getting stuck, clean and dry the chamber and gauge.
I cleaned the threads with brakekleen. Forgot to say the original barrel unscrewed but the barrel nut was not able to come off I replaced it. And yes the gauge and chamber are dry and clean.
Is scope mount still on receiver, if so screw may be into barrel threads.
Brand new gun no mounts.
clean every thing with brake clean , receiver , barrel threads ,and nut use a brass bristled brush and scrub clean and do again . I don't think the nut is going on far enough . good luck
Thanks for all your help. I re-cleaned the threads in the action got the barrel to thread on all the way to the no go gauge when I put the go gauge in I have to back the barrel off or the bolt won't close. I pulled the barrel off and inserted the go gauge stuck out the barrel .203 then I inserted the no go gauge an d it stuck out .143. I think I have a defective go gauge!
