Price I couldn't refuse.

I'm no fan of synthetic stocks,or blind boxes,not that their anything wrong with them,but I just don't care for the looks,but I stopped by my friends pawn shop today to see what they had ,and I noticed a scoped 110 in 243 with synthetic stock marked $329...I asked if he would take $275 out the door,and He asked "You can do a little better than that can't you"..I offered $285 if I could pick out a strap,and he agreed...I know it wasn't the deal of the century,but with the scope ,and sling I can always get my money back on it...I'm gonna change clothes and go down in the bottom and see how it shoots,and let you guys know what I think of it ,and if I have trouble from it I'll pick your brains for advice..

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I would have bought it at that price most likely. What scope came on it? Anything worth saving or is it a "give it to a kid" one like I always see on the used racks?

It's a Chinese cheapo scope BSA's version of a varmit scope I guess.It seemed to function alright though ,and was super clear.It was shooting low and to the right at first .I lined it up a little,but I hate the trigger .I had to look at the safety and make sure it was off on the first shot..My last three shots were in the ball park,and would represent as dead deer at 200 yards,but I wasn't shooting very good today because of the trigger ..I think I can get used to it,but my nerves were shot. No need to get used to the trigger, it's simple to get pretty good for nothing more than time and the price of a stone if you don't have one. Life is too short to deal with crappy triggers. I followed this link and it has worked great for me several times. If you get a chance give it a try. If you get it done I bet that you will be more than happy for a hunting trigger. Mine are very crisp, safe, and reliable under 2 pounds using this method.

Thanks I'll try that on mine here pretty soon..I don't really pay that much attention to the way a trigger feels when I'm hunting,but when I'm lining one in a bad feeling trigger really gets on my nerves.It throws my breathing off,and gets me frustrated.
