Cocking indicator/Side bolt release

Just recieved my new savage 16 trophy hunter xp and the manual talks about a Cocking indicator/Side bolt release but I cannot find this on my rifle. I have a button on the bottom in front of trigger guard that releases the slide but this doesn't look like what the manual shows. Thoughts?

We have the new Trophy Hunters in stock where I work and yes the bolt release on that model is in front of the trigger guard. That's the way some of the newer savages are being made.
