I run a SWFA 12x42 SS on a 20MOA EGW rail with SWFA low rings on my Axis 308 and still have 1/4" to spare between the objective lens and barrel.
I have two 50mm Vipers, one on a #10 action and one on a #12 action. Both mounted on Weaver 20MOA rail with Shilen bull barrels.
I have a hair less than 1/4" clearance using Burris Tactical MEDIUM rings.
Texas are these the rings http://www.opticsplanet.com/burris-x...0mm-rings.html
Thanks for the input guys
I would do the Burris also, only I would do the SIG ZEE ones and get the 20MOA inserts.

Are these the ones scope eye
http://www.amazon.com/Burris-420044-...ed+scope+rings
and will they fit this

Thanks
Yes and yes do you have a internal box magazine or a detachable box, I have always found those rails get in the way on an internal box, that is why I like they inserts with the moa built in, and use 2 separate mounts.

I converted it over to a DBM so that should not be a problem.
Thank you for you help
Just incase someone is trying to use this info for a hog hunter.
I went with a EGW 20moa rail and the med height Burris tactical rings the scope sit's to high with this setup.
I have ordered some low Burris and will report back.
The low rings fit much better and got the scope down within a 1/4 inch of the sight mount.

These Burris rings I have put on, how tight do you get them on the EGW rail. They are as tight as I can get them by hand, do I need to put a tool on them and tightened more?
I do not have a torque wrench.
