A good Day
75yds with the 6TAC. While I was taking this pic a female ran across an opening and into the timber where I was. I ip squeaked and she started toward me. All I could see was small glimps of her through the brush. She got to within 10yds before she winded me and shot bock out the way she came in. I never got a shot at her.

..I shot a pretty scraggly yote today..160yds with the .223 & nos 50's out the back door..Had no fur on the tail & very little on the body...I guess you could say I put him out of his missery.. :(

Re: A good Day
Made one last set and called in a fox. He ran up to 4yds away and looked me in the eye. He was on my right and the rifle was across my lap pointing left. He just humped up and took care of buisness right there! When I tried to swing the gun on him he bolted. left me sitting there looking at what he left for me!

Re: A good Day
If a fox and a coyote each made it inside of 10 yds while you were calling I would certainly look into taking a shotgun next time I was in the same terrain. A good load of 4 buck is lethal to 40 yds easily and the animal can be moving full speed.

Re: A good Day
My thoughts exactly. I havnt predator hunted in several years and all the places I used to go hove grown up in underbrush. Need to get out and do some scouting. Fiind some better sets. may get out this eve and will definiatly take the shotgun!
