Savage 10FCM 7.62x39 Bolthead
I'm trying to get some additional information on this particular model, and the bolthead/baffle that it is using.
For anyone who owns one, if you could would you mind posting a picture.
Without having to try and get ahold of Savage or anyone else for that matter on the phone, I figured I would ask some of you here first.

Im curious.....what other rounds use that headsize? I know the 308 family is .473 but i cant think off hand what other calibers can be utilized w that new bolt head size since savage is obviously making them now and u wont have to have one opened up on a lathe.

PPC cartridges are about it.

6.5 Grendel... I have one in the AR platform and love the cartridge.
It would make a great low recoil hunting round in the SA Savage.

Exactly why I purchased one! Waiting on a Pac-Nor SS Match sporter weight barrel. Should make a great walking medium game rifle. Of course the Grendel won't be a Scout configuration.
