free floating tang
I bought one of the B&C medalist tactical stocks for my Stevens 200 SA. I did a "skim" coat bedding job that came out really well. When i bedded it, i did not use any material on the tang area, but put 2 layers of blue painters tape on tang to keep it "free floating..did not put any pressure on rear action/trigger guard screw, just till i felt it start to contact housing..... as far as the free floated tang area, are you supposed to be able to slip paper underneath it like a free floated bbl?...below is a pic of the bedding job...thanks, rsbhunter

Re: free floating tang
Yep, just like the barrel. Paper will go under it until it hits the safety.

Re: free floating tang
Is the tang free floated up both sides, to the start of action? Or just at tail end by saftey.
