Stevens 200 Long Action Center feed .......... Stock Options???
Got a Stevens 200 Long Action 270 Center Feed.
What are my stock options?
Would like an ambidextrous design......ie no palm swell in only one direction and no thumbhole stocks.
Any ideas?

These are great sporter stocks, I bedded a Stevens 200 in 270 into one and it is great!

They are not center feed stocks though so you have to secure the blind magazine in the stock yourself. I took the centerfeed tab off and basically epoxied the blind mag in the magazine cut out. You need to be very careful when doing this as if you get the magazine to high it will drag on the bolt and too low and the bolt will not pick up a round. Also, just epoxy the ends of the blind mag and not the sides. I used the putty type epoxy and it is holding great.
I have done this to a couple of staggered feed stocks now to make them work with centerfeed actions. It has worked out fine for me. Works on the Duramax stocks too.
The only real solid "drop-in" option I have seen for a sporter centerfeed long action is one of the Stockade stocks.

I just picked up a centerfeed 270 Stevens and will have to give the epoxy putty a try. Thanks for the information.
