got to shoot my first f-open shoot ...hooked

me and 2 of my friends got to shoot our 1st f-open match this past weekend and we are hooked 300yds range i managed a 374 first time out ended up 8th out of 19 could have done better but i was sick as a dog and was forced to go (didnt take to much arm twisting ). the supprise was my friend brian they used my rifle and he shot a 382 1st string he shot in 4 min 30 sec and managed a 192 then shot the 2nd string in 3min 42 sec and got a 190 just think what he could do if he slowed down lol.
looking forward to shooting f-t\r in june @500yrds. i also told them now they need thier own guns.

Whether you took 4 minutes or 20 minutes is inconsequential. What matters in mid-range or long-range shooting is that you shoot in the same or nearly the same conditions from shot to shot. If conditions aren't changing, by all means shoot as many shots as fast as you can before the conditions change. F-class is a score game, not a group size game. Strive to improve each time and you will go far.
