Hi what are those powders? It's easyer to recomend a load when you list all the components.

I agree with scope eye. It would be easier to reccomend if we knew what we had to choose from.

4350, 4831, and RL22 would be my choices as where to start.

Been using the 178 amax with 71gr RL22 same with berger 190's. These were holding 1/2 MOA and around 2800fps. I have noticed though that the RL-22 seems a little temp sensitive. I've had a load or two that shot very well in temps around the 60 - 80 degree range that looked like crap when temps went below 32. Must have been right on the edge of something for that to happen but those particular loads were tested in one batch before a hunt and did great. Get on a hunt and things took a dive. Put them on paper and was not happy. Luckily I had another set of loads that didn't test quite as good along with a slightly lighter charge. Those were spot on and tight.

For 168+ gr. bullets I had been using RL22 & 25 7 H4831 was an old fav.

Now I look more at H4831 & H1000 to avoid temp. issues as rinodods mentioned. With every cartridge I can
I am going the temp. insensitive route.

My model 110 tactial in 300 Win Mag loves the 178gr "A" Max I use 70gr H4831 Fed 215M winchester case and set lenght at 3.430 as this is the longest I can and still have it fit into the magazine. 5 shot groups at 100 yards 1/2" and 4" -5" at 600 yards. 3 shot groups at 600 under 4"
