...You are wrong. The ones that got hit butt to head or head to butt there wasn't anything left to take pics of, or couldn't find enough pieces.

6XC, 3500 FPS.

Reassembled to demonstrate missing vaporized parts.

I have a 6mm Dasher that shoots 95gr bergers. I am hoping to get out and shoot some PD either this weekend or next. I would imagine that they will look the same.

Hit 'em square it might work. Overall I found them disappointing. If your rig will shoot 105 Amax's its a better choice. The 105 Amax will MESS critters up. 88's have been both the most spectacular and the most disappointing hits.

Scott,

Blowed up real good varmints aside, how you liking that 6XC? Will yours push a 105-107gr bullet up to 3000fps?

I'm torn between a 6XC and 6BR for my next build...thanks for the input.

Had two actually, one throated for 95-unders, one for the heavies, with 105-108s and RL17 I could get above 3000 FPS, but accuracy was OK to iffy, with H4350 and right around 2950 accuracy was very good.

I think I'd go 12-14 twist 6BR shooting 55-60g varmint bullets, hard setup to beat, brass is not much different $$$ than a 6XC, easier on powder. You can get milsurp 8208 these days if you shop around.

Both barrels lasted about 3500 rds maintaining MOPD, will probably order another short throat barrel for a PD backup gun (have too much 6XC brass to just set it aside), but the 20 Practical is too good and too cheap to ignore for the high volume PD shoots. Gonna fit AR15 mags to a target action/HS stock on one of the 20's. After all, when they're comin' right at ya, need a 30 rd repeater, not a single shot!

I just got back from shootin pdogs yesterday. Used the 6BR alot in the high winds of western KS. The 105 A max will do some damage, at around 100 yds its just plain UGLY!! Bill
