???
Hello,
I was wondering what a savage 99 switch barrel in 22 hp and 410 shot gun would generally be worth.
The pictures I seen of it was worn bluing at receiver and front of barrels, straight grip stock, dark dark wood, almost black, the serial # was in the low 200,00's.
The pictures were not the best, no close ups, not picture of the tang, so who knows if the stock is cracked ?
I was just wanting a ball park figure, to decide if I should even go to the sale.
I have 4 99's, one clip 308, and 3 - 300 savages with rotary magizines. So I know a little about them, I thought the 410 was a rare one.
I am not sure I would even shoot it, but if I could pick it up for the right price, I might consider trading for a different 99.
I know this information is vague, but with out actually having it in my hands, this is the best I can do.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Well the .410 barrel itself is worth a pretty penny. I don't believe the gun is original though - as far as I know, all of the switch barrel sets were 300 savage and 410 and came in a case so the collector value isn't there (except for the 410 barrel).

Could be wrong but...

It appears it was available in 22 savage hp and .410. The book says it revalues it as a 45% plus premium. It values it in mint condition at 1400 plus 45% if it is in perfect condition.
