Anyone using a slip on pad? What brand? It seems no one makes a pad for synthetic stock.

I just tried a Limbsaver # 10111 it was very close to a perfect fit, but not quite the stock is slightly deformed in one area from the urethane foam other than that it would work well.

Smokey, have you used these personally?
I have a 110fp that I bought new in '94 that the last time I shot a box of 168 grn left me with a nice bruise. I would rather that not happen again.

without a doubt the limb saver pads are some of the best. limbsaver has slip on and pachmeyer has the decelerator in leather that straps on your stock but i prefer limbsaver.

note limbsaver makes a bolt on for savage synthetic stocks.

rez187: Can you get me a stock number or product number on that? The only models I could find were for Savage wood stocks. I found nothing specifically designated for savage synthetic stocks.
Thank you very much in advance.

Yes, I have. Both are excellent at making a day at the range lots more enjoyable

I have tried the Limbsaver pads but they are too bulky for me and the texture is kind of sticky so they do not slide on your clothes well, and grinding them to fit sucks, a lot

Put your Limbsaver pads in a freezer over night before you grind them . Works wonders.
