When it comes to a Bench rest rifle with a 14.5" LOP and a 28" barrel, what do you use for a gun case. I have a bunch of hard cases but none of them are long enough. What are you guys using for cases that don't cost an arm and a leg.

My factory Savage F-Class 30"bbl fit in my SKB. There a bit pricey but well worth it.

I use the MidwayUSA 2 gun "Sniper Drag Bag" for my rifle with 26" barrel. You could possibly cram a 28" barrel in there, but it would be VERY snug. I just saw on the Midway website that they are coming out with a 56" case (the normal one is 50"), but the price is $130. :-\
If I needed a longer case I would wait til the new bag goes on sale for $80 or so.

My .260 with a braked-28" barrel and SSS HBR stock will fit into this Plano Air-Glide. For the price it aint bad to transport back and forth to the range.(shown before it was braked)

Heres a link to the review thread I did when I bought it last year:

And heres the link to their website:

Be advised, they are not cheap, but worth every penny considering the value of whats going inside it. It also cost $60 to ship it to me IIRC.
