I have a 93R17 That the sling swivel studs are too far into the wood to allow them to swivel, anybody got any fixes or ideas! Obviously I can't just back them out, some sort of washer or spacer is all I can come up with.
???
Thanks in Advance!

Nylon washers from the hardware store.

Use an empty shell case close to the stud size and find a piece of plastic-like the top of a coffee can or something similar and place the shell casing on it and hit it with a hammer on a wooden surface. This will cut you a perfectly round, clean disc. Drill/punch a hole in the center and place it over the hole in the stock and screw in the stud. That should correct your problem. Free!

Just use bedding material. I get Devcon 2-ton Steel Epoxy from the local hardware store. Coat the screw stud with release agent and screw into the stock to the proper height and position. Wipe off the excess and let cure. Your stud will screw back down tightly in the same position if removed.
