I got a CBI 26" varmint contour from NSS for my wife's .223 build . Got the parts in the stock mocked up and now she wants a shorter one (even though I asked before).
So, thinking about cutting 3-4 inches off and fluting it. What can I expect to pay, and more important what will this do to the velocity/accuracy? (12 twist, planning on 50gr pills)

Is there a better way to go about this? The stock is inleted for the varmint contour, stocky's LRV.
Magnum contour and flutes?

Thanks.

Toyoda,
If you are serious about redoing your new Criterion Barrel I will speak with Criterion about your being about to return it to them for the desired work. This way you will not void any warranty offered on your barrel. Give me a call as time permits and we can go through the details.
