I have a Savage .308 FCP HS but I just got the urge to get a Savage BSEV, so i ordered one which should be here in a week or so. I want to do long range target shooting, and I liked that both rifles have AccuTriggers. I'm new to .22LR, so what is considered long range for the BSEV? Also what scope power would be recommended? What type of rings?
It doesn't look like there is a place to mount a bi-pod, and it there were it would be close to the balance point. Does anyone make a bi-pod mount for a BSEV?
Thank you for your help.

Most rimfire competitions I have watched have been at 50 yards but I watched some guys ringing an 18" gong at 300 yards at the range with a Marlin 22lr....
Whats your price range?
DNZ mounts are good as are EGW bases and Surgeon Rings. With the scope the sky is the limit, my squirrel gun has a 40 dollar BSA Sweet22 3X9X40 from SWFA on it and my 22 safe queen has a Nikon Monarch 4X16X50.
It looks like the BSEV was built to ride bags. I would recommend putting a swivel mount on it and getting a Harris bipod.
