hey all,
my first post here. btw a savage fanatic and shoot them exclusively in silhouette competitions, i have two 110's, one of them a 110dl with a really small serial number, dad says he bought it in the late 60's? anyways, the most accurate highpower rifle we own, rebarreled to 7mmBR. Have another 110. with an original ambidextrous stock designated as a silhouette model, originally a 308 but now a 6XC.
Ive been looking into buying a new target action but waiting for a southpaw version to come out, and a few of the guys i shoot with say that savage is thinking of offering a rifle chambered in .338 Norma mag, something along with the 10 BAS/k or bat/s k series or even a model 12. has anybody heard this rumor? cause if its true im not waiting for the lefty version and the rifle will be well used on my 2000 yard range...

Well, not quite.

Fred has said that Savage will be offering a super-sized action that will be chambered in 338 Lapua. The 338 Norma shares the same bolt face diameter as the Lapua. So, once this action becomes available, it will simply be a matter of a barrel swap to get you shooting the Norma.

As for left hand offerings. You'll have to get in line.

Right behind me. ;D
