My son has a model 11 with the bolt release in front of the trigger guard, and a detachable magazine. Would like to get a varmint-tactical stock. Can't find anything that will work. Anyone know of a stock that will work on this model? Would be willing to change to top load mag.

I have yet to mess with the new style accustock with the release in the trigger gaurd, but I am sure i read on here in the last couple days that someone said the easiest stock to convert was the Choate stocks. May I say look at the Choate Tactical and the Ultimate Varmint. Have had both and they are both decent stocks.

Would like to read if anyone knows where it was posted. When I have more time I will search.

I have a Model 11 and ended up with a stockys stock bought off a member here. It is the thumbhole and the action dropped right in. I then used a dremel and made it accept the bottom metal and the DBM from the accustock.

I know I'm gonna say duh! when you tell me, but what is the DBM? .... Brain fart moment.

Thanks, hadn't thought of it but I will try it in my Bell&Carlson stock I have on another gun and see how much difference there is or what modification I might be looking at. Why didn't I think of that already? Once again I prove myself to be slow but not stupid.
