I'm picking up a slightly used 110BA in 300 Win Mag, I've never loaded this caliber. I need dies and bullets, I have some 175 SMK's but I don't know how that will work.
I know one guy that loves the 200 grain SMK in his 300 Win Mag, but I don't remember anything about his rifle.
I load for 308, 3006, 6.5/284, 30-30.........
I was hoping to get info from someone that was this rifle of something close.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!

That's great, I use 168 Bergers in my 308 and 4831 in my 6.5/284.....
I'd still like to have some other combos to try.....
THANKS!

I have a browning abolt in 300 wm and it love the 165 or 168 seirras and AA3100. My cousin has a Browning Eclipse in 300wm and his also loves the 3100. I dont recall the exact load but I think it is 64.0 gr

Damon, I'll try that load for sure!!!
One more question on that load, would you be able to get the speed of that from him? I suspect that sucker's doing around 3,200 fps....
Thank you for your time and the follow up!

My Rem 700 sendero in 300WM loves the 208gr A-Max with IMR 4350 and it does pretty well with H1000. I gotta get a 300WM barrel for my Savage soon. Loads for IMR 4350 is 69.0 gr which gets me around 2800fps. H1000 is 76.0gr for about 2830fps. Both loads shoot very well to 1000 yds and beyond. This is out of a 26" barrel.

I tried 72.5 and 73 grains of 4831SC with a 16 Berger VLD, the lighter load was better, but not very good.
I also tried 70.2 grains of 4831SC behind a 175 SMK, that was no good either. I'm going to try these again at a shorter seat, I hear the Berger like to have some room to run before they hit the lands.
I'm picking up some 208 grain A Mav today, I might get some 4350 too......

just a half a grain can make or break a group.was your groups strung vertically or horizontally?if the gun has been out of the stock, and not put back right it will shoot all over the place also.

Groups are horizontal, but not real bad. I'll post pics later. I don't think it's been out of the stock, but, how do you put it back RIGHT? I should probably pull it apart and put it back right so I know it's right! I got it used, only 60 rounds shot, the guy did the proper barrel break in, but I don't know if he had it apart....
THANKS ! ! !

Here's my results from the first time out..... These are are 150 yards. I've got to believe this rifle will shoot better than this once I find the right load!
The 168 with 72.5 of 4831SC may have promise, I'll try that again with different seating lengths.
I just loaded some 208's with IMR 4350, I'm real ready to try them...

the top right is the best, except for the one you pulled.i would back that charge off to 72.0 grains, and you will be happy.

I will try the 168 VLD at 72 next time out. Here's a few 5 shot groups with the 208 and some IMR 4350. I'm going to load more at 63.5 grains and play with the length, I this may be a winner!

I Just worked up a load for my 300 win in 116 savage. It is topped with the Huskema 5x20 blue diamond and last saturday gave me a 5 shot group at 671 yards under six inchs, and it was gusting up to 20 mph. I really had to play with the load and tried several different primers, and seating depth and powder charges but this is what it really seems to love. 185 grain berger VLD 76.5 grains of H4831SC CCI250 primer with a coal of 3.410. my ES is 17fps I know not single didgets but it really loves this load and my SD was 11. It is a hunting rifle and not a benchrest gun so getting those 2 numbers down into single didgets wasnt a huge importance to me,as finding a load that shot really well. and I know Im .5 over the max load berger says but there is NO pressure signs. its cronographed velocity is 2991 fps average. the high was3001 and the low was 2984fps.
