I'm looking for some advice/suggestions.

I want to round the end of my stock. With my magnum barrel, the flat end of the stock just doesn't look good in my opinion. I would like the round it out top to bottom and on the sides. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Rounding it just on the top and bottom may be fine, I was thinking of running it through a router with a roundover bit to get the curve.

Thanks for the help!

you could try adding one of these and shaping it the way you like. If it didn't turn out the way you want you are only out a few bucks and not a whole stock.

May not be your thing, but it is an option if you do like it.

Draw a straight line where you want your curve to stop on the top and bottom of the stock. Using a table saw cut away the bulk of the shape away, doing it in several cuts across at different angles to roughly form your curve. Keep a close eye on your markings and dont over cut. Always leave a little extra. Now Get some course sand paper and a sanding block and now work the curve in by hand. 60 grit at least. It will take some time but it will work out. Once you got it where you want it use finer and finer sandpaper till you get your desired finish. If your not comfortable with this either dont do it. Or practice on a 2x4 first to get the idea.

Good luck :)
