I thought I d post my 3rd screw modification on the BC MED stock. It works fine with two , but I just went ahead and glassed a stainless pillar for the center screw. Seems to work fine. The pillar is left over barrel from when I cut my Marlin 22 MicroGroove off :)

Nice job. What are the drawings under the stock? Blueprint of where to put the pillar?

Those are blueprints that came with the target action.

To free float the barrel in this stock. Its a straight taper to 1 inch. I used a 22mm deep impact socket wrapped in 60 grit sandpaper and worked on it for about an hour to open up and deepen the stock so it would not touch.

I drilled 1/8 inch holes in the stock about a 1/16 inch deep to know how much material I was removing.
