Hi Guys I'm new here. Looking for some help on buying a barrel for a Savage 110 in 6.5x55 Swede. I want to be able to hunt with the gun and shoot at the range. So I'm thinking 24” barrel rate of twist 8-1. Like many here I don't have fortune to spend on this build. I will be getting a new trigger and stock also. Thanks for any help in advance. Steve ;D

Steve..welcome to Savage Shooters !!
The Swede is a fine ole cartridge to choose....
Do your research in bbl makers that offer pre fits for your 110
Shilen....A&B.....and of course our sponsors here on this site...
Make your selection of bbl builders...yes 8 twist for the heavy long 140s
Then get some decent dies from Redding or Forster
Brass from Lapua or Win/Rem...
Lapua & Norma brass has a slight larger head diameter....but will still work with your 110 bolt......
I'm building a 6.5x55 as we speak...waiting for the Pac Nor tube..
A heavy varmint/target rig on a large shank Savage Target action...
Finished weight on the table will be 18-19 lbs....not a carry gun for sure...
My SS T3 Tikka in 6.5x55 is my carry gun......
Good luck in your build.........

Talk to Sinman (Sinarms) or Jim at Northland Shooting Supply (both site sponsors). Jim may have a Swede barrel in stock. If not, Devin can chamber you one in any configuration yuo want at a reasonable price.
