Looking to buy a replacement trigger for my Stevens 200 build. My build will be a bench/varmint gun. Are the Sav-1 and Sav-2 triggers the same other than pull weight or are there other differences. Which would you buy and why?

They are different. The SAV-2 is a much more sophisticated.

I have been wrong more times than I can count but I don't think the Sav-2 fits pre accutrigger rifles such as the Stevens.

Would HIGHLY recommend one of the new Jard triggers.

Have two and will continue to add this brand over the others.

I don't know for sure either as I have never owned a Stevens. I only know what I read on this matter. It is my understanding that Savage and Stevens actions are identical.

Building "tacticool" rifle in 6.5x284 based on a Stevens 200 LA. Used the Rifle Basix SAV1, mostly due to the pull weight range and because the SAV 2 may have fit issues with some stocks. Works great at just above 2 lbs. Will go easily down to 1 lb safely, just need to do a 15 minute polish job.
