I just bought a model 10 Fp or LE whatever you want to call it, bull barrel .223 I want to shoot some accurate factory ammo through before I reload. it has a 1-9 twist & want to know what you shoot that is very accurate before I spend a bunch of $$$ on ammo. it will be used mainly for coyotes in the 50-200 yd range.
I have a 12BVSS in 22-250 I have been using that loves 50 grain V-max for coyotes/prairie dogs that will be mainly used for prairie dogs.
I am sure the 1-9 twist .223 will require a heavier bullet weight. Thanks.

My 1-9 dotes on 40gr NBT's, I'd try Win White Box 45gr HPs. Stay off the shoulder.

Try some Black Hills brand loaded with the 50gr V-max. It is affordabale, but more importantly, it will shoot.

this and the Fochi vmax loads are the best deal... last gun show they have the Fochi vmax for 15$ per 50

he wants good stuf. while the white box win 45's and rem 45's are decent if your really trying to get accurate go with black hills new or even reloads (red or blue box). once you get a grain/bullet combo your rifle likes the federal gold medal match ammo is absolutely top notch

I have owned 5 and still have 2 FP10s in .223 and they all love the 50gr vmax.
It will take a coyote at 400 yds with no problem also.

I was using Hornaday V-MAX in our one .223 and in my .222 Rem............results were good in the .223 (1-MOA) in the .222 Rem the 50 V-Max shot less than 1/2 MOA

Where were you guys when I asked the same question a while back? ;D Read .223 loads on page 9 in standard cartridges. So annoying it's funny.

My Mod. 11 Savage absolutely loves the Rem Express Rifle 55 gr JSP. Have taken yotes out to 400+ yards and sent em rolling. This gun shoots ragged cloverleafs all day long with this round.
