LOOKING FOR A BASE THAT WILL HELP ME TO REDUCE MY HOLD OVER CURRENTLY USE A SIGHTRON 6-24 MILD DOT OUT TO 500 YRDS WITH A .308 SUB THAT HAS AROUND 1 INCH PER DROP PER YARD AT THAT DISTANCE. I USE THE 100 YRD ZERO MOSTLY SHOOT 100 AND 300 BUT DO TAKE IT TO 500 ONCE I AM FEELING IN TUNE....

oops sorry for the CAPS.

I am not yelling sorry again.

I am looking for something that is one piece that is not ridiculously expensive.

I am looking for something that is high quality.

I am hoping that someone has needed a base that was more than 30 MOA, I am looking for 40 or 50 to help me get their any more would be nice.

Thank you in advance.

For the record the reason why I like to shoot the long distance Sub-gun is because it is cheap.

With 8 grs of Trail boss and 150 gr 30/30 bullets it makes for some cheap light recoiling fun shooting that is very challenging and is almost impossible in heavy winds, a great challenge and again very very in expensive.

The action this goes on is a Savage 10 SA the old pre accutrigger flat action / receiver...

Again thank you for your time and patience with this newbie.

It is much appreciated.

Brass shim stock will work perfectly on your flat rear action.

Once you find out how much you need to use, bed your base(s) to the top of your action. Scuff the bottoms of your base(s), apply release agent to top of action, IN the base mounting screw holes, AND on the base screw threads.
