has anyone put iron sights on a savage. if so what brand. do you have to cut the barrel for the front sight i'd like an open sight like a buckhorn or something along those lines ,no peep sights. thanks doug

There are certain Savages that come with sights and you could get replacements for those, otherwise you need to cut a dovetail slot or drill and tap for the new ones.

the rear one probably wouldn't be to bad but the front one would probably cost a small fortune
