Ammo for Savage Mark II BTVS

Hi,
My new Mark II BTVS 22LR Rifle has a 21" barrel with a 1 in 16" twist. I took to indoor range toward and discovered that groups were quite poor with normal velocity 22LR ammo but much better with both CCI and Winchester High and Hypervelocity ammo. Have others experienced similar results? Thannks

You never know what a rimfire might like. I tried MANY different brands in my mark II, and it prefers wolf match, and it does well with remington golden bullets also for standard velocity.

Mine shoots almost everything well, but my favorite is the Wolf Match ammo.

Tried at least 10 different types of ammo and ended up liking SK Std +... Any thing other just sprays.
