Is any certain model Savage 22 LR more accurate than any other? Not really wanting a bull bbl. I'm looking to buy a 22 lr bolt, or semi, but i want accuracy most of all....i know it depends on ammo, scope, shooters abilities, etc......also, if there is a certain model, is it available in a thumbhole stock? Thanks for any suggestions...rsbhunter

The Mark II is available with a thumbhole stock. These are inherently accurate. You couldn't go wrong with one. have the Mark II BV, has a laminated stock but no thumbhole. This thing is a one-holer.

The thumbhole stock models (BTVS and BTVLS) do have heavy barrels, not quite bull but much larger in diameter than the sporter weight rifles.
